MCF Agreement Signing Ceremony – NAFA

What a memorable way to celebrate!

To celebrate ten years of collaboration between NAFA and the Royal College of Music, a rich, colorful selection of Mozart and Haydn’s most beloved works filled the Victoria Concert Hall.

Two Masonic related pieces were played by the NAFA Orchestra viz, Mozart’s Magic Flute and Haydn ‘s Symphony No 87 . Haydn was introduced to masonry by Mozart .

The celebratory concert featured a classical concerto performed by the academy’s School of Music (SOM) students and faculty, and was conducted by renowned conductor and NAFA’s Artistic Director, Mr. Lim Yau. Distinguished guests in attendance included Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth & Ministry of Social and Family Development, Mr. Eric Chua.

The Masonic Charitable Fund (MCF) pledged to donate $30,000 prior to the event, which will support SOM’s travel subsidy program for needy students who require financial assistance for overseas study trips.

The generosity of MCF and the audience’s continued support of NAFA in carrying out its mission of fostering students’ passion for the arts has greatly honored NAFA’s students and faculty.
