The Masonic Charitable Fund and Mrs. Rosaline Wilson donate S$50,000 to CDE

The Masonic Charitable Fund John William Wilson Bursary was recently established at NUS by the signing of a donation agreement and presentation of a cheque.

The Masonic Charitable Fund (MCF) and Mrs. Rosaline Wilson donated S$50,000 to support the bursary for students at the College of Design and Engineering (CDE).

Masons from Sir Stamford Raffles Lodge and Star of the East Preceptory & Priory have generously donated to the MCF endowment gift.

Dr. Brian Shegar, Chairman of The Masonic Charitable Fund, Mrs. Wilson, Director of Arian Corporation Pte. Ltd., and Professor Aaron Thean, Dean of the CDE, all signed a gift agreement during the ceremony on April 13.

For The Masonic Charitable Fund, Dr. Shegar and Mrs. Wilson gave Professor Thean the cheque.

The donation represents The Masonic Charitable Fund’s second endowed donation to the CDE. On January 27, The Masonic Charitable Fund – Lodge Singapore presented a contribution of S$25,000 to the College.

The College will be able to provide two bursaries (up to S$2,500 each) to financially disadvantaged students each academic year thanks to the gift and government matching funds.

The CDE is extremely grateful for the charity’s kind investment in the future of our children.
